Full Transcript David: Welcome to another TC tip from Offer To Close. My name is David and this is Cherie. The California Association of REALTORS recently came out with a new form called DIA – Disclosure Information Advisory. Cherie, can you tell us a little bit more about what this form is used for?
Cherie: Sure. The Disclosure Information Advisory is a form that explains to the homeowner who is selling their house what they are required to disclose. It talks about the Transfer Disclosure Statement and Seller Property Questionnaire. There is also another section that explains which sellers are exempt from filling out specific forms. The form is an extremely important form to ensure the seller discloses everything that is required by law to the buyer. This ensures there are no hidden surprises for the buyers. It is very important for agents to include this when they are taking a listing.
David: So agents, don’t forget to include the DIA to your clients so they know how to fill out their TDS and SPQ properly.
